As a proud member of the SBF Program, City of Moreton Bay covers an impressive 2,045km² from the northern parts of greater Brisbane to the coast of Moreton Bay. To activate public spaces and offer commercial opportunities for local small businesses, the council established the Moreton Bay Pop Ups Program.
Twenty-three precincts have been identified as pop-up sites throughout the region for food vendors and park activity vendors to temporarily operate on. The streamlined permit application process means once a small business vendor is approved, they can conveniently book their next trading site through the council’s online booking system at any time without having to re-apply.
This is saving small businesses time and providing opportunities to grow their business, all while activating and enhancing public spaces throughout the City of Moreton Bay. Council currently has 39 small businesses registered under the program.
